On July 28, a delegation of over 20 officials from the Republic of the Congo visited Southern Finance Omnimedia Corp. (SFC) and held in-depth discussions with representatives from SFC's International Communication Centre on topics including collaborations in publicity and offline events.
Located in west-central Africa, the Republic of the Congo abounds in oil and gas, mineral, and forest resources. In recent years, the country has been vigorously pressing ahead with an economic diversification strategy, prioritizing the development of the energy and mining extraction industry, modern manufacturing, green economy (agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fisheries, and tourism), and the digital economy through infrastructure improvements.
展开剩余74%Since establishing diplomatic ties in 1964, China and the Republic of the Congo have consistently treated each other with sincerity, mutual respect, and equality. Bilateral relations have developed steadily, and the two countries have forged a comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. China has long been the largest trading partner of the Republic of the Congo.
SFC has been paying close attention to Africa's development, particularly the exploratory endeavors and practices of countries like the Republic of the Congo in areas such as industrialization, digital transformation, and the green economy.
As early as September 2016 to January 2017, SFC's media outlet, the 21st Century Business Herald, spent 120 days visiting seven African countries, including the Republic of the Congo, covering a total distance of over 65,000 kilometers and conducting 302 interviews, featuring three presidents, three prime ministers, and 18 ministers. During the exchange session on July 28, SFC's International Communication Centre presented the delegation with newspaper pages featuring special reports on the Republic of the Congo.
On June 24, 2025, SFC launched its international communication brand "G". Both sides agreed that SFC will leverage the "G" brand to tell compelling Chinese stories, stories of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and stories of Guangdong to the people of the Republic of the Congo, while also sharing the country's development stories with Chinese audiences through media coverage, events and exchanges, with a view to building "G" into a bridge of information and trust between China and the Republic of the Congo, and between China and Africa.
